Reframe: The Residency Exhibition

A 3-month residency in partnership with Apple and Southbank Centre which ended with an immersive audio-visual installation as part of Southbank Centre’s ‘Planet Summer’ event. The produced work boasted a collaboration with 77 emerging black artists and consisted of 13 works from three different cities which included London, Birmingham and Manchester. The work acted as a response to the climate emergency, a crisis that disproportionately impacts global majority communities.

For this exhibition, Christian used his analogue cameras to create a series of photographic artworks titled ‘Mother’. The intention was to show the current unnatural neighbouring of nature against man made materials with the model made to represent a tree struggling to grow in an environment of our excess.
