BLAX COLLECTION
Shot with analogue cameras, the Blax Collection is a themed portrait series by Christian Emanuel which was inspired by his filmmaking background and is an exploration of modern blackness. The collection provokes thoughts and responses around ideas of gender, sexuality and identity through conceptual portraiture.
The collection includes over twenty images and images from the collection have been exhibited in galleries across the UK: Sotheby’s, Hove Museum of Creativity, Project Ability, 44AD Artspace, The New Art Gallery Walsall.
